The Vape Co celebrates Reserves Day!

When the boss walks in the door wearing a beret and camo, your company has either begun a very aggressive stance on competition, or you might just be witnessing the first steps of celebrating Reserves Day.

Reserves Day may be unfamiliar to many of us, but its an important celebration for the members of the public that volunteer their precious free time to assist our Armed Forces.

Reserve Forces are a significant part of our security both at home and overseas, but those involved often go unrecognised despite their dedicated and professional commitment.

Balancing day-to-day life with military service is no easy task, and Reserves Day lets each member show off their pride by wearing their uniform to work.

The event is a show of respect between employers and their employees, highlighting the respect and reverence we feel toward those who dedicate themselves to ensuring our security.

Reservists from many different branches of the armed forces are involved in counter-terrorism,  defence and peacekeeping both in the UK and overseas. In civilian life they bring with them a strong sense of established discipline, leadership and interpersonal skills that are developed from training within their volunteer positions.

We here at the Vape Co enthusiastically celebrate Reserve Day, with our Senior Manager Anil Thanki proudly displaying his uniform in store. As a long time member of the RAF reserves, he certainly has earned the right.

So if you are a Reservist, or wish to celebrate the hardworking volunteers within the UK, you won't be alone in enjoying the privilege of participating in Reserves day.
