VG/PG Ratio

High Vegetable Glycerin (HVG) High Propylene Glycol (HPG) 50/50 VG/PG Ratio

VG/PG Ratio refers to the viscosity of the E-Liquid, in other words, how thick or thin the liquid is. Thicker E-Juice contains a higher percentage of Vegetable Glycerin, whilst thinner E-Fluid contains a higher percentage of Propylene Glycol. The viscosity of your chosen E-Liquid plays a huge part in the vapour production of your vape kit. Some vaping devices work better with a higher PG Ratio, whilst other vaping devices work better with a higher VG Ratio. Generally speaking, Mouth-to-Lung (MTL) vapes using Plus-Ohm coils run efficiently with HPG E-Liquids as they are able to absorb into these smaller styled coils as well as providing a decent throat hit with the increased percentage of Propylene Glycol. Straight-to-Lung (STL) vapes using Sub-Ohm coils run efficiently with HVG E-Liquids as they slowly absorb into these larger style coils for a smooth and cloudy experience. High Vegetable Glycerin (HVG) High Propylene Glycol (HPG) 50/50 VG/PG Ratio

VG/PG Ratios play a huge role in vaping, as they are the two core ingredients used to create E-Liquid alongside flavourings and optional nicotine. Without Vegetable Glycerin or Propylene Glycol, vaping devices simply would not work efficiently to produce vapor.

What is Vegetable Glycerin?
Vegetable Glycerin (VG) is a natural substance derived from plant-based sources such as soya and coconut, and often makes up the bulk of the VG/PG ratio amongst most popular brands of E-Liquid. The more Vegetable Glycerin, the thicker the juice will be. Liquids higher in VG are utilised by sub-ohm vaping devices that are designed to produce a lot of silky-smooth cloud.

What is Propylene Glycol?
Propylene Glycol (PG) is an organic synthetic compound used in food and liquid production for its absorbent nature. The delicious flavourings of your chosen E-Liquid bond to the Propylene Glycol so that the taste carries through when vaping. Liquids higher in PG also thins out the liquid a little bit, making E-Liquid less viscous for certain types of vaping devices that need a lower percentage of Vegetable Glycerin.
